15. Puddle Trouble

Interpretive Intent: The effects of drip irrigation differ greatly depending on the type of soil. The rate of infiltration and the spread differs in clay vs. sand. Timing and spacing play an important part to an effective drip system.

Exhibit Design: Just beyond the huge drip emitter are cut away samples of different soil types. Whimsical letters showcase the type of soil while wet cross sections show the different water patterns created.
