Medium growing, spreading deciduous tree that grows significantly wider than tall. Grows on a short trunk with thick, brownish-grey bark. Dark green leaves are compound and have a leathery feel. Insignificant yellowish-green flowers bloom in the spring and produce clumps of many dark fruits loved by birds. Has been shown to be invasive in certain parts of the United States. Plant fruitless varieties when possible. |
